The GÖKTÜRK-3 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Earth Observation Satellite System is intended to deliver the capability to image any region of the Earth at sub-meter resolution, independent of day and night conditions. The project aims to address the SAR satellite imagery requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces, while also supporting the needs of civil institutions.

The project is executed under the prime contractship of TUSAŞ, with ASELSAN and TÜBİTAK UZAY being involved as main subcontractors. The project scope encompasses the development of the satellite activities and fixed and portable ground stations, together with launch and pre-orbit operations, integrated logistics support, and all other activities and engineering services.
