Bird strike tests are carried out with advanced equipment and measurement systems in order to assess the resistance of aircraft components to bird strike and to meet certification requirements.
In the test infrastructure; gas launch mechanism integrated into the speed measurement system, computer-controlled up to 80 channels, high-speed data collection system with a capacity of 500 kHz, high-speed cameras that can record up to 15,000 fps, strain gauges, accelerometers and force sensors can be adapted (Digital instrumentations and protection sensors)
The test system has the capacity to transport real bird or gelatin bird models with a launch weight of 0.5–3.5 kg, up to a speed of 650 knots.
