Our Responsibilities

 

All Turkish Aerospace employees are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Turkish Aerospace ethical standards. Each Turkish Aerospace employee is obliged to act in compliance with national and international legislation, Company policies, and ethical principles while conducting the Company’s activities. The responsibilities below constitute the foundation of Turkish Aerospace’s corporate integrity within the global defense and aerospace ecosystem.

 

Our Legal Responsibilities

Turkish Aerospace conducts its activities within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye, applicable laws, relevant secondary legislation, administrative regulations, and all other binding legal obligations. Accuracy, transparency, and integrity are fundamental in all processes carried out with public institutions. Preparing accurately, completely, and in a timely manner the information and documents submitted to public authorities is a shared responsibility of Turkish Aerospace employees. Full compliance with the legal frameworks agreed under international treaties to which Türkiye is a party and agreements signed with foreign countries is a fundamental principle of Turkish Aerospace. All information and documents submitted to regulatory and supervisory institutions and organizations are delivered accurately, completely, clearly, and in a timely manner, observing standards of transparency and accountability.

In carrying out its activities, Turkish Aerospace recognizes the protection of the environment, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the reduction of environmental impacts as a corporate responsibility. Accordingly, full compliance with national and international environmental legislation, environmental management systems, and sustainability standards is essential. Environmental risks are assessed regularly, necessary preventive measures are taken, and efforts are carried out for the continuous improvement of environmental performance. Turkish Aerospace adopts a zero-tolerance approach to environmental violations.

Turkish Aerospace regards the protection of employees’ fundamental rights, the establishment of a healthy and safe working environment, and the provision of working conditions compatible with human dignity as indispensable ethical obligations. Full compliance is ensured with national labor legislation, labor law regulations, and international labor conventions. Occupational health and safety practices are implemented meticulously, risks are identified in advance, necessary technical and administrative measures are taken, and practices supporting employee well-being are developed. Forced labor, discrimination, harassment, mobbing, and child labor are strictly prohibited.

Turkish Aerospace maintains equal distance toward public institutions and organizations, private sector representatives, natural and legal persons, and civil society organizations without expectation of any benefit, and remains committed to objectivity, fairness, and ethical principles in all business relationships. Obligations arising from contracts, as well as the moral, professional, and industrial standards required by the sector, are fulfilled with full awareness of responsibility.

All information, documents, and records relating to Company activities are maintained accurately, completely, traceably, and in an audit-ready manner in accordance with applicable regulations and Company policies and procedures. The regular updating, retention, and verification of the accuracy of this information is one of the cornerstones of Turkish Aerospace’s ethics and compliance culture.

 

Our Responsibilities to Turkish Aerospace and Turkish Aerospace Employees

Turkish Aerospace employees represent the Company’s human capital, technical capability, and corporate culture. Turkish Aerospace adopts as a fundamental principle the creation of a professional work environment in which employees feel valued, secure, and supported in their development. Problems that may arise among employees are addressed fairly, swiftly, and with due sensitivity, and managers are obliged to treat all employees equally, fairly, and respectfully.

It is acknowledged that every Turkish Aerospace employee contributes to Turkish Aerospace’s success, regardless of position. Human resources processes are based on the principles of fairness, merit, transparency, and equal opportunity; open communication, a culture of feedback, and consistent performance management form the basis of the institutional way of working.

Turkish Aerospace provides the necessary opportunities for its employees to maintain and develop their professional competencies. Turkish Aerospace employees remain open to change and constructive feedback, place innovation and creativity at the center of business processes, and actively contribute to the development of products and processes, increased efficiency, and continuous improvement objectives.

All Turkish Aerospace resources are corporate assets entrusted to employees. Turkish Aerospace employees use these resources solely for Company purposes and in the manner that provides the highest benefit and do not use them for personal purposes. They protect Company assets against theft, damage, misuse, and unauthorized disposal and respect the intellectual and industrial property rights of others.

Turkish Aerospace employees are obliged to protect Turkish Aerospace’s corporate identity, prestige, and professional reputation in their work and relationships. They display attitudes and behaviors that represent Turkish Aerospace in the most appropriate manner, both within the Company and in all contacts with stakeholders and third parties.

In accordance with Turkish Aerospace internal regulations, Turkish Aerospace employees present an appearance and professional posture befitting the corporate identity; in meetings, discussions, and similar environments, they express only the official views of Turkish Aerospace and refrain from presenting personal opinions as if they were the Company’s position.

 

Our Responsibilities to Turkish Aerospace Shareholders

Turkish Aerospace shareholders are stakeholders who provide the Company’s capital and institutional continuity. Turkish Aerospace regards the creation of value for all shareholders as an ethical responsibility. In this regard, the Company adopts a management approach aligned with its strategic goals, prioritizing sustainable growth, business continuity, and long-term institutional stability.

Turkish Aerospace adheres to the principles of financial discipline, fiscal responsibility, and accountability by avoiding unmanageable risks. Company assets, resources, and working time are managed with an awareness of efficiency and savings, and policies are developed that will increase competitiveness, support innovation, and strengthen the Company’s growth potential.

Information regarding financial statements, strategic direction, investment decisions, and risk profile is presented to shareholders in a timely, accurate, complete, and understandable manner. This approach is a fundamental element of Turkish Aerospace’s maintenance of a corporate governance model compatible with both national and international standards.

Turkish Aerospace considers correctly understanding its customers’ needs, evaluating them comprehensively, and meeting them with effective solutions to be among the fundamental elements of its corporate culture.

Turkish Aerospace aims to provide all its corporate customers with products and services that comply with international quality standards and offers qualified after-sales services supporting customer satisfaction after sale and delivery. Any demand, feedback, or complaint received from customers is handled confidentially, seriously, and promptly. Turkish Aerospace undertakes to provide accurate and reliable responses to customer expectations as quickly as possible and to deliver products and services within the promised time and conditions.

Respect, fairness, transparency, and professionalism are fundamental in customer relations. Turkish Aerospace accepts the protection of customer information and data as a legal and ethical responsibility and acts in accordance with the rules of courtesy when communicating with customers and conducting processes.

 

Our Responsibilities to Our Suppliers

Turkish Aerospace manages its supply chain through a transparent, traceable, and procedure-based system. Turkish Aerospace expects suppliers and business partners to act in accordance with business ethics in all their activities and to fully comply with applicable legislation and Turkish Aerospace standards. Business relationships are conducted on the basis of fairness, respect, professionalism, and mutual trust.

 

Our Responsibilities to Our Competitors

Turkish Aerospace adopts full compliance with competition law and relevant regulations as a fundamental principle; it conducts its activities with foreign governments, state institutions, and international public authorities within the framework of fair competition rules and refrains from any practice that would provide unfair advantage over competitors.

Turkish Aerospace strictly avoids industrial espionage, methods intended to obtain confidential information, or any other conduct incompatible with business ethics. Competition is pursued only on lawful, legitimate, and ethical grounds, and transparency, integrity, and professionalism are taken as a basis in all commercial activities.

 

Our Responsibilities to the Public, Civil Society Organizations, and the Media

Turkish Aerospace is aware of its responsibilities toward society and aims to develop strong and trust-based relationships with society beyond business relations. In natural disasters and extraordinary situations requiring social solidarity, Turkish Aerospace conducts relief activities through its own resources and the voluntary contributions of Turkish Aerospace employees, but it never uses such activities for publicity, advertising, or commercial benefit. In this context, the campaigns conducted through the Turkish Aerospace Reach Out Solidarity Association, established by Turkish Aerospace managers and employees with the support of Turkish Aerospace, aim to create sustainable impact in the areas of education, social solidarity, disaster relief, and social development. Activities carried out within the Turkish Aerospace Reach Out Solidarity Association are conducted in line with the principles of transparency, equality, voluntariness, and public benefit. These activities are never intended to serve commercial, political, or personal interests.

Where the public must be informed, statements are made only through authorized units, accurately, in a timely manner, and transparently.

Turkish Aerospace employees regard the protection of Turkish Aerospace’s brand value as a strategic matter and take care to represent Turkish Aerospace consistently, accurately, and professionally. Requests for information or statements from the media are referred only to the authorized units, and no statement may be made without approval from the relevant units.

In their use of social media, Turkish Aerospace employees are obliged to state clearly that any posts relating to the aerospace and defense industry or mentioning Turkish Aerospace and capable of being associated with Turkish Aerospace reflect their own views and do not create the impression that they represent Turkish Aerospace. Comments that may damage Turkish Aerospace’s reputation must be avoided, and written authorization from the relevant unit designated in Turkish Aerospace’s internal regulations on this matter is required in order to make posts on behalf of Turkish Aerospace or produce content constituting an official statement. All employees are obliged to fully comply with Turkish Aerospace’s internal regulations regarding social media and communications.

 

Our Responsibilities to the Environment

Turkish Aerospace acts with the awareness that an environmentally responsible approach to production and engineering is critically important not only for the Company, but also for the shared future and well-being of humanity. In carrying out its activities, it adopts as a fundamental principle minimizing adverse environmental impacts and using natural resources responsibly, and by taking all necessary preventive measures to reduce unavoidable adverse environmental effects, it makes environmentally friendly practices an integral part of its operations. Turkish Aerospace considers contributing to the development of sustainable technologies in the aviation and space industry a strategic responsibility and assumes a leading role in advancing solutions that support clean energy use and aim to reduce carbon impact.

 

Our Responsibilities Regarding Donations and Sponsorships

Turkish Aerospace conducts donation and sponsorship activities that contribute to society in line with the principles of transparency, equality, and public benefit. In this context, objective criteria are applied in the selection of support to be provided, requests of a similar nature are evaluated fairly, and resources are allocated responsibly. Turkish Aerospace does not use such activities as a means of creating privilege in favor of any person, institution, or commercial interest and ensures that all processes are carried out in accordance with corporate procedures.

 

Our Responsibilities Regarding Political Activities

Turkish Aerospace takes institutional political neutrality as a basis in carrying out its activities and does not provide material or non-material support to any political party, candidate, election campaign, or political organization, nor does it make donations, sponsorships, or any similar contribution. Turkish Aerospace employees may not carry out politically motivated activities, propaganda, or organizations during the performance of their duties or in Turkish Aerospace’s physical and digital environments.

Turkish Aerospace resources, vehicles, communication systems, computers, e-mail accounts, and other corporate assets may not be used for political activities. Employees who wish to run as candidates in local or general elections may not become candidates or candidate nominees without resigning.

 

Our Responsibilities Regarding Money Laundering

Turkish Aerospace demonstrates a firm and uncompromising commitment to combating money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and unlawful financial activities at every stage of its operations. Financial transactions carried out within Turkish Aerospace are conducted in full compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Türkiye, international financial regulations, sanctions regimes, the regulations of relevant supervisory authorities, and global compliance standards (including FATF, OFAC, and EU regulations).

Within this framework, Turkish Aerospace bases its approach on the principles of transparency, accuracy, and traceability in order to prevent the misuse of financial systems.

All employees acting on behalf of Turkish Aerospace are obliged to verify that the business relationships and financial activities they conduct are legitimate, documentable, and based on lawful sources. Turkish Aerospace requires that all unusual, inconsistent, unexplained, or suspicious financial movements be identified, assessed, and promptly reported to the relevant units.

Turkish Aerospace fulfills its obligation to exercise due diligence toward persons, institutions, and business partners with whom it will establish business relationships. In this context, the identity, reputation, field of activity, business history, sanction-list status, and financial integrity risk profile of the relevant parties are assessed meticulously. Where necessary, the business relationship is rejected or additional review processes are conducted.

Turkish Aerospace strengthens internal control mechanisms to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism, provides regular awareness and training to its employees, and operates secure and confidential processes for reporting suspicious transactions. Turkish Aerospace cooperates, where necessary, with the relevant official authorities in line with legal requirements, internal regulations, and international ethical standards.

For Turkish Aerospace, financial ethics is not merely a matter of legal compliance, but a fundamental part of safeguarding corporate reputation, ensuring operational security, and contributing to the national and international security ecosystem.

 

Our Responsibilities Regarding Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest refers to any situation arising from personal, family, financial, or social relationships that affect or may affect employees’ ability to perform their duties independently, impartially, and in line with the Company’s interests. Turkish Aerospace is firmly committed to impartiality, integrity, and objective decision-making in business processes. Turkish Aerospace employees are obliged to avoid any situation that may result in a conflict between their personal interests and the interests of the Company while performing their duties.

In no work carried out on behalf of Turkish Aerospace is it acceptable to make a preference because of personal or financial benefit obtained from a supplier, business partner, or third party, or to obtain any benefit before the selection of a supplier or after the completion of the work. Turkish Aerospace employees may not use any personal relationship that could influence decision-making processes, nor may they direct any other Turkish Aerospace employee to services offered by their relatives.

Turkish Aerospace employees may not enter into a business relationship involving reciprocal or non-reciprocal benefit with family members, close relatives, or third parties with whom they have a personal relationship within the scope of their duties. It is strictly prohibited for Turkish Aerospace employees to pursue personal interest in a manner that may harm the interests of the Company or provide an advantage to third parties. Employees resolutely refuse to become involved in or be part of any situation that may create a conflict of interest.
