TURKISH AEROSPACE PARTICIPATES IN AFRICA AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE (AAD) 2024 IN SOUTH AFRICA

The African Aerospace & Defence (AAD) 2024 exhibition, regarded as Africa’s most prominent aviation and defense event, will take place from September 18-22 at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Tshwane, the capital of the Republic of South Africa. Turkish Aerospace will be participating with a 200 square meter booth. Over 150 companies from more than 30 countries are expected to attend the event, which will also be visited by more than 40 civil and military delegations.

Turkish Aerospace is attending AAD 2024 with a significant presence, aiming to strengthen strategic partnerships across the African continent and open new avenues for export opportunities. Representing Türkiye’s aviation prowess in the defense industry, Turkish Aerospace aims to showcase its advanced technology platforms and systems to friendly and allied nations in Africa, with the goal of further bolstering its relations in the region.

Commenting on the participation, Turkish Aerospace CEO Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu said: "The Africa Aerospace and Defence Exhibition is a critical venue where we will strengthen our strategic partnerships in Africa and present solutions that can contribute to the region's defense needs. As Turkish Aerospace, we represent Türkiye in international markets and enhance the defense capabilities of friendly nations with the innovative technologies we develop. Through our participation in AAD 2024, we aim to not only solidify existing partnerships but also create new opportunities."

Among the products that Turkish Aerospace will showcase at the exhibition are 1/7 scale unmanned aerial vehicles, fighter jets, and multi-purpose helicopter platforms. With these high-tech products, the company aims to provide effective solutions for the defense and aviation needs of the African continent.
