As part of its global objectives to establish technology offices in strategically important locations across different continents, Turkish Aerospace (TA) has inaugurated a new office in Indonesia. The newly opened Indonesia Office is located in the city of Bandung, known for hosting prominent defense industry companies and esteemed universities specializing in engineering education.
The opening ceremony took place on August 25, 2024, and was attended by key figures including the President of the Defense Industry Agency, PhD. Haluk Görgün, Turkish Aerospace CEO Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Jakarta, PhD. Talip Küçükcan, Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pahala Nugraha Mansury, and Indonesia's Ambassador to Ankara, Achmad Rizal Purnama, among others, totaling approximately 100 participants.
The Indonesia Office will contribute to various engineering disciplines within the HÜRJET Advenced Jet Trainer program. Additionally, it will support aircraft and space systems, as well as the T625 GÖKBEY Multirole Utility Helicopter program. The office will employ a total of 60 personnel, including 49 engineers.
With the opening of this new office in Indonesia, Turkish Aerospace has once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing its global engineering capacity and advancing strategic collaborations in the defense industry.
