On Wednesday, October 23, a memorial ceremony was held in front of our company’s headquarters building to honor our martyrs who lost their lives in a terrorist attack. We gathered to keep alive the memory of our colleagues lost in this tragic incident.
During the ceremony, we observed a moment of silence and recited our National Anthem in honor of our five martyrs, Cengiz Coşkun, Zahide Güçlü, Hasan Hüseyin Canbaz, Atakan Şahin Erdoğan, and taxi driver Murat Arslan, who sacrificed their lives for our country and our organization.
Following the National Anthem, our President and CEO Phd. Mehmet Demiroğlu stated, “This attack has reminded us once again that our work is not just about producing an aircraft or a helicopter. Turkish Aerospace is a much greater organization than even we can imagine. Evidently, there are malicious forces that do not wish to see us achieve success. However, this will not affect our dedication or our achievements in any way.”
After his speech, our President and CEO placed a wreath adorned with the Turkish star and crescent at the monument displaying the photos of our martyrs, while our colleagues laid carnations at the site. The Turkish Aerospace family paid tribute to these heroes who gave their lives for the nation, expressing eternal gratitude.
All colleagues present at the memorial felt deeply moved by the sacrifices made by these heroes for our country. We will continue working tirelessly to uphold the legacy they left behind and to carry our country toward a stronger future. Our martyrs will live on in our hearts as the eternal guarantors of our nation’s unwavering unity, independence, and freedom.
