MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT FOR HÜRKUŞ-II
HÜRKUŞ-II, developed by Turkish Aerospace using domestic and indigenous resources and capabilities, has successfully completed its comprehensive certification process, qualifying for a Military Type Certificate. This achievement marks an important milestone demonstrating Türkiye’s capabilities in aviation testing, verification and certification.
As part of the activities carried out across 12 different certification disciplines for HÜRKUŞ-II, 1,790 certification requirements were verified, 950 evidence documents were technically reviewed, and a total of 153 certification tests were conducted.
With this certification, a military type certification process for a domestically and indigenously developed aircraft platform was successfully completed in Türkiye for the first time, in accordance with international standards and relying entirely on national human resources.
